I don't have anti virus software or firewall shit outside of windows stuff. The drivers just refuse to install without providing a reason. The device manager shows unknown devices for all attempted virtual network adapter installations. The windows network adapter screen only shows only my ethernet lan conection. I've tried many programs that include a TAP adapter driver but they all do the same.
It just gives "unable to install errors". It doesn't prompt me to install the driver when running the installers. Something happened that caused them all to stop working and now im unable to reinstall any new TAP drivers. But mostly zerotier and expressvpn which used their own network adapters.
I use a variety of VPN programs for different things. First time in many years I've had to ask for help.
